The morning brought with it hot sun and bright
white clouds. We decided that today would be the day to go to Lausanne. It was
nice having a base in Zurich for the week, and the choice to be able to go all
over the land, returning each evening to our little room at the top of the
house.
—So Lausanne, is it? I asked for confirmation.
—Sí, baby, she said, smiling.
—But first breakfast! I announced smiling back
at her.
—Yeah, honey.
Downstairs,
Ozcar and his girlfriend were cooking breakfast and when Alice and I got
downstairs, he offered some to us.
He’d
made up fresh guacamole, which we had with toast and I had a coffee, Alice a
tea. She also had a little pot of yoghurt, which she finished around the same
time I’d finished my coffee. After we’d finished, Ozcar took our plates and put
them in the dishwasher. His girlfriend finished the last of the guacamole, and
I had another piece of toast, this time with butter. By eleven, we’d all left
the house and the two of us were waiting at Bulach station for the train.
